Program Highlights

Dear Colleagues,

Sven Brandau, PhD

The 1st International Symposium on Tumor-Host Interaction in Head and Neck Cancer is rapidly approaching. We have compiled a unique program, which covers many aspects of the complex interaction between the malignant cell and it´s host. Recent advances in molecular biology have advanced our understanding of tumor cell biology and genetics. At the same time it becomes clear that tumor development, progression and response to therapy not only depend on cell intrinsic features of the tumor cell, but are deeply interconnected with the host response. This emerging field will be debated throughout the conference. World-leading experts will discuss the role of immune and non-immune cells in modulation of disease progression, the effects of immunotherapy and conventional cancer therapy on the host response as well as novel biomarkers, which take into account the complex interaction of tumor cells with their environment. In addition to carefully selected oral abstract presentations, we will have a moderated, high-quality and interactive poster session with more than 50 presenters in 3 sessions. Poster prizes will be awarded based on the vote of our review jury.

I am very much looking forward to your participation in this exciting event.
